Overview

What they do
Launched in 2015, Airbus BizLab was a pioneering global aerospace business accelerator designed to speed up the commercialization of innovative ideas. It operated a "hybrid" concept, bringing together external early-stage startups and internal Airbus "intrapreneurs" for a six-month acceleration program. In late 2021, Airbus restructured its innovation landscape, closing BizLab's physical sites and rolling its operations into Airbus Scale (Airbus Central Innovation). Today, Airbus Scale focuses on venture clienting, co-innovation, and spinning out non-core Airbus technologies into independent companies, while equity investments are managed by the $155M Airbus Ventures fund.
