Founded in 2007, Auvergne Business Angels (ABA) is an association comprising over 30 entrepreneurs and private investors. They position themselves as a proximity financier with a "human vision" of investment, aiming to bridge the funding gap (the "valley of death") for local companies. As a prominent member of France Angels and the Coordination Auvergne Rhône Alpes Business Angels, ABA is highly integrated into the regional economic fabric, offering founders not just capital, but extensive mentorship, operational experience, and access to a dense professional network.

What they look for

ABA's primary mission is to foster local economic development by financing the best projects in the Auvergne region. They focus on startups, business takeovers, new market developments, and disruptive innovations. They look for projects that have moved past the pure idea stage and require seed capital to launch or accelerate. The network has a strong preference for ESG projects-particularly in biodiversity, water, and nutrition-as these align well with market expectations and the local economy.
