We deliver these services through our employees who work directly for the Council and through our many other Council owned companies and organisations; CORMAC, Cornwall Housing, Tempus Leisure, Newquay Airport and Cornwall Development Company. We also have close links with Cornwall’s health organisations, colleges and universities and work closely with the police, town and parish councils and the voluntary sector. *Cornwall - Council and Democracy: We have 123 elected councillors and as Cornwall is such a large rural area, our councillors and the towns and parishes they represent are grouped into 19 community networks, which are the focus of our local community work.

The Cornwall Pension Fund aims to generate sufficient returns to meet pension liabilities while adhering to Responsible Investment principles, with a strategic shift to LPPI for better long-term value and infrastructure access, and a specific 'Cornwall Local Impact Portfolio' for local housing and renewable energy. The South West Investment Fund (SWIF), managed by The FSE Group, seeks to plug the 'finance gap' for SMEs in the South West, supporting businesses with high growth potential that cannot secure traditional bank funding, focusing on innovation-led growth, job creation, and productivity improvements. The Good Growth Programme provides grants for 'Green and inclusive growth,' requiring investments to deliver social value (Real Living Wage) and environmental benefits (Net Zero) in key sectors like Critical Minerals, Floating Offshore Wind, Agri-food, Digital/Tech, and Creative Industries.
