Elewit

What they do

Elewit serves as the technological platform for Redeia (formerly Red Eléctrica Group), the company responsible for operating Spain's national electricity grid and fiber optic networks. Established in 2019, Elewit was created to centralize the group's innovation efforts, moving beyond traditional R&D to an open innovation model. They position themselves as a "Venture Client" first, often testing technology within Redeia's massive infrastructure before or alongside an equity investment. They are highly respected in the European energy ecosystem for their ability to bridge the gap between agile startups and the heavy industrial requirements of a Transmission System Operator (TSO).
