Seedrs is a UK-based equity crowdfunding platform headquartered in London, founded in 2009 and launched in 2012. It enables individuals to invest in startups and growth-focused European businesses with a minimum investment of just €10. In 2022, Seedrs was acquired by the US-based investment platform Republic for $100 million and is set to rebrand as Republic Europe. The platform is sector-agnostic but has seen significant interest in Fintech, Health & Wellness, and ClimateTech. By June 2022, over £2 billion had been invested through the platform, funding over 1,722 deals. Seedrs also operates a secondary market, launched in 2017, allowing investors to trade shares in unlisted companies. Notable companies that have raised funds on the platform include Revolut, Cheeky Panda, and Oddbox.
