What they do

Launched in 2019, TTT was created to bridge the gap between academic research and commercialization in the Netherlands. It operates as a collaborative alliance between the Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) of Dutch universities, research institutes like TNO, and specialized venture capital funds. The program utilizes a two-pillar approach: Pillar 1 provides business development support and €25,000 vouchers for feasibility studies, while Pillar 2 offers €250,000 convertible loans to early-stage spin-offs. By focusing on four key themes-GreenTech, DeepTech, MedTech, and AI-TTT efficiently expedites the practical application of promising research and prepares founders for subsequent institutional funding rounds.

TTT aims to accelerate the transfer of new, disruptive technologies arising from Dutch knowledge institutes to the market. The program focuses on elevating academic research ideas, validating them, and launching successful spin-offs that possess strong potential for societal and economic impact.
